St. Aloysius College will organise a seminar on food science to nourish the challenging world on the occasion of ‘World Food Day’ celebrations at the college on October 25.
The Department of Food Processing and Engineering (Kaushal Kendra) in the college was opened in 2015 under the skill based programme funded by the Union government.
There will be talks on nutrition, health and food safety standards and recent trends in food science. There will also be a workshop on bakery techniques.
P. Sadananda Maiya, chairman, Maiyas Bevarages and Foods Pvt. Ltd. and Director of P. Sadananda Maiya Centre for Food Science and Research will inaugurate the seminar, a release said.
